Welcome back loves!
I was going to give you guys the “How to Install Kali on your Macbook” blog since it’s been requested but then I ran into this…
So we’re going to go through step by step how to reset your Kali password just in case you forget. People usually set their password to “toor” (root backwards) but I don’t like to do that as you can tell and make my life harder. Anytime I run into issues like this I’m always going to Google or Youtube to find out how to fix it. So don’t worry if you forget yours too or have any kind of questions regarding your kali machine. We are all constantly researching the answer but now you can just bookmark this blog for the easiest explanation ever!
You want to restart your Kali machine.
You want to make sure it gets to this page after restarting.
Select “Advanced Options for Kali GNU/Linux” and then press Enter.
Select “Recovery Mode” on this page and press “E”.
You should not be on this page after step 3 and now you want to scroll all the way down to the following line and change “ro” to “rw” and add “init=/bin/bash” at the end of the line and then press the fn key + 10.
A terminal will now pop up and you will need to type the following to reset your password.
“passwd root” then press Enter.
You will now be prompted to enter your new Kali password twice. After entering it the second time restart the system.
Test out your new password and enjoy your Kali machine!
Hope this helps! If you have any questions about any steps on this blog please feel free to reach out to me on my contact page!!
